As many of our readers know, we use Tuesdays to share recipes we love that are not our own creations. We’ve got a decadent one to share this week: spinach mushroom quiche!!!!
At our house this week, we had a little extra tofu and lot of craving for something satisfying and creamy. So, we searched all over the place for a creative quiche recipe – and boy, did we find one!!!
We used this recipe from Vegweb.com for the quiche filling and this one for the crust (which can be used for any pie crust, by the way, not just savory quiches!). Both recipes are relatively straight forward. The filling recipe is a little complicated, but definitely worth the effort!!! ***Just a warning about the filling recipe, there is an ingredient (nutritional yeast) which you may not find in Egypt. I believe (although I did not try it) that you can leave it out and not miss too much of the decadence of this dish.
The crust recipe is SOOOOOO easy and surprisingly tasty! Give them a try and let us know what you think!
